Australia’s minimum wage raised by 3.5 percent

The Fair Work Commission has raised Australia’s minimum wage by 3.5 percent to $719.20 a week or $18.93 an hour.

The commission also decided to increase all modern award minimum wages by 3.5 percent. The ruling will come into effect on July 1.
